Musa almost joined Hull City in transfer deadline deal

Hull City boss Leonid Slutsky has revealed the club came extremely close to signing Ahmed Musa from Leicester City on Transfer Deadline Day.
While City did seal the loan signing of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori on the final day of the transfer window, they were believed to be looking for an attacking option in the final hours.
Slutsky has worked with Musa before during his time at CSKA Moscow and he tried to use their relationship to bring the Nigerian forward to the KCOM Stadium.
However, while Slutsky admits the deal came close, it was Musa’s decision to stay at the King Power Stadium.
“We came very close to Musa,” Slutsky admitted. “But not each decision depends on me or the club. I think maybe he wants to prove himself at Leicester and he needs one more attempt. He thought a lot and finally his decision was to stay at Leicester.
“The final decision was at midday on deadline day and we didn’t have a chance to change Musa for another option.”

M. Pochettino warns new signing Serge Aurier of any mischief at Tottenham.

Mauricio Pochettino has warned new signing Serge Aurier he will not put up with any mischief at Tottenham.
Aurier has joined Spurs for £23m from Paris St Germain and Pochettino is hoping the defender proves a reformed character in north London.
The 24-year-old was banned by his former club for directing homophobic language at his then-manager Laurent Blanc and was then convicted of assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in Paris.
Pochettino places a strong emphasis on discipline at Tottenham and insists he will come down hard on Aurier if he steps out of line.
"I said to him, 'I will kill you', I (would) head-butt him," Pochettino joked.
"I think it was good, we had a long chat. He knows very well how we are, what we expect from him and for us it's so important, not only him, every player, how they behave here in the squad.
"We need to keep the dynamic we have created. I trust him, I am confident that he can succeed here and help the team to ac…
