Enyimba league champions after 5years

Enyimba of Aba have claimed there 7th title in the Glo-Nigeria Professional Football League title
Ten-man Enyimba on Sunday won their seventh Nigeria league crown after they held Warri Wolves to a goalless draw in front of over 40,000 fans at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.Enyimba needed just a point in their final home game against closest rivals Wolves and they did just enough to get the job done.
‘The People’s Elephant’ clinched the championship with a round of matches to spare as they have 69 points, six points clear of Wolves.
The best away form of the season – five wins and seven draws – earned the two-time African champions Enyimba the league title five years after their last conquest.

KWARA UNITED 1-0 FC TARABAThe Harmony Warriors piped the Jalingo Boys to relegate them from the topflight in a game decided at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
Kwara United scored the lone goal through John Chukwudi in the 25th minute and the win has lifted them to 39 points from 36 games although they are still 18th on the log.

The League Management Company has rescheduled Sunday's Week 34 matches to Wednesday October 21 owing to the upcoming African Nations Championship qualifying tie between Nigeria and Burkina Faso.

The home-based Super Eagles, which features only domestic league players, hosts Burkina Faso at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday. According to the LMC's Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar, a notice has been sent to all the 20 Clubs of the Nigeria Professional Football League. In the notice, Abubakar said, “please be informed that all fixtures for Match Day 34 has been rescheduled due to the CHAN Qualification match between the Super Eagles and Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt on Saturday, October 17, 2015. "This is to allow clubs with players in the CHAN team have full complement of their services for the matches of the Glo Premier League,” the Abubakar said. Enyimba recorded a 2-1 victory over Shooting Stars on Sunday, to increase their lead at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL), to five points.Musa Najere gave the Aba side the lead in the 14th minute, before 3SC equalized through Ajani Ibrahim 11 minutes after the break.Enyimba skipper, Chinedu Udoji, then headed in the winner with 15 minute left.
The Aba team now have 61 points from 33 matches.Their closest rivals, Warri Wolves, were held to a 1-1 draw by Rangers in Enugu and now have 56 points.Defending champions, Kano Pillars, put a dent on Sunshine Stars’ title chase, with a 2-1 win in Kano. Pillars now have 49 points, while Sunshine have 53 points.In other games, Akwa United continued their fine home run, with a 2-1 win over Abia Warriors. Giwa FC beat Dolphins 1-0, Wikki Tourists lost 2-0 at Sharks, FC Taraba pipped Heartland 1-0, while Lobi Stars won 2-1 against Kwara United.
