Davide astori laid to rest with Liverpool Star MO Salah to attend

There might be one of the most important games of our season on Saturday against Manchester United, but some things are much more important.

Mo Salah will today, quite rightly, be attending the funeral of Davide Astori, who tragically died of a heart attack at the end of last week – aged just 31.
This is according to Florence-based newspaper La Nazione, who say that our Egyptian forward has made the request of Liverpool to miss training and be at the service.Salah and Astori never played together for Fiorentina, but were opponents when AS Roma faced their Serie A rivals last season. If La Nazione’s report is true, Liverpool will obviously have allowed Salah’s request.Jurgen Klopp is a good, reasonable man who understands completely that sometimes football comes second. We think it also says lots about Salah as a man that he’s made this decision and congratulate him for it.May Astori rest in peace.

Marc Wilmots: mignolet would still be between the sticks if courtios was available

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots is happy with the mentality Simon Mignolet has displayed with the Red Devils in recent years and revealed that even if Thibaut Courtois had been fit then the Liverpool man would have started in goal over the international break.Mignolet has been forced to play second fiddle to the Chelsea custodian at international level, but Wilmots feels he has never complained and has continued to act in a professional manner.
Mignolet started in goal for Belgium on Friday night in a 3-1 win over Italy in Brussels and the Liverpool man's performance pleased Wilmots, who says he will also start against Spain."Mignolet is now 27 years old and so is coming to his best age. "Something can always happen with Thibaut Courtois and Simon's mentality is an example to the squad" , he continued.
"It was not easy for him to give up his place as number 1.
