Leicester City name Claude Puel as new manager

Former Premier League champions Leicester City on Wednesday named Claude Puel as their new manager following the sacking of Craig Shakespeare last week.
Puel last managed in the Premier League with Southampton before his sacked this summer and signs a contract until 2020.
“When we began the process of identifying a new manager, the board quickly established the profile of candidate we needed to take the club forward and Claude Puel was a perfect fit,” said Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has won the European Golden Boy award with Gabriel Jesus, Marcus Rashford, Christian Pulisic and Ousmane Dembele among the players to miss out.

Several football players and clubs have sent out their heartfelt respects to the city of Paris and it is no surprise that FIFA’s Acting President, Issa Hayatou, has also done so.
Mr. Hayatou according to a report on has written to the President of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graët saying:
“It is with intense emotion that I write today. I am obviously in shock at the terrorist attacks yesterday in Paris and around the Stade de France on the sidelines of the match between France and Germany”

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has expressed his shock and grief following the terrorist attacks on Paris last night.Schneiderlin was part of the French squad which were playing Germany last night at the Stade de France, as mayhem ensued outside the stadium and in the streets of Paris.
The death toll in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on mainland Europe in recent years has been increasing by the hour and there are reports in France that three people lost their lives outside the Stade de France when assailants hurled bombs outside the stadium.
Sporting fixtures in and around Paris have been cancelled in the wake of the attacks and even France’s friendly against England at Wembley is under the threat of being called off or postponed.
