Manchester United stars and WAGS ring in 2016 as Matteo Darmian hosts team-mates at New Year's Eve dinner party

Matteo Darmian and his Manchester United team-mates looked happy to see the back of 2015 as the defender hosted a dinner party at his home on New Years Eve. Anthony Martial, Morgan Schneiderlin and Daley Blind were joined by their other halves at the Italian's bash as they saw in 2016 together. And the smartly-dressed United stars smiled as their proud host took a picture of the group with a selfie stick.

Matteo Darmian and Chris Smalling are facing spells on the sidelines after going off injured in Manchester United's 3-2 defeat at Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
Louis van Gaal confirmed Darmian picked up a hamstring problem and said Smalling appeared to have hurt his groin in the loss, which saw United exit the Champions League.
The Dutchman said Smalling's injury, which came after United had used all three substitutes, had been a key factor in Naldo's winning goal for Wolfsburg, which came just two minutes after Josuha Guilavogui's own goal had made it 2-2.

Schneiderlin expresses his shock following the terrorist attacks in Paris

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has expressed his shock and grief following the terrorist attacks on Paris last night.Schneiderlin was part of the French squad which were playing Germany last night at the Stade de France, as mayhem ensued outside the stadium and in the streets of Paris.
The death toll in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on mainland Europe in recent years has been increasing by the hour and there are reports in France that three people lost their lives outside the Stade de France when assailants hurled bombs outside the stadium.
Sporting fixtures in and around Paris have been cancelled in the wake of the attacks and even France’s friendly against England at Wembley is under the threat of being called off or postponed.
Schneiderlin has revealed his dismay at the attacks on Paris and has expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in last night’s gruesome terrorist act.The midfielder took to Twitter and said:
