Memphis Depay must show strength to cope with his "difficult situation" at Manchester United, says his Netherlands captain Arjen Robben.
The £25 million summer signing has failed to start a Premier League game since United's 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on Oct. 4 and this week hit back at questions over his attitude.
Depay said he is "working hard" to win back the first-team place he has lost to youth-team product Jesse Lingard at Old Trafford.
Netherlands head coach Danny Blind was quoted as saying that Depay was not a team player when he was originally left out of Friday's friendly against Wales, but the 21-year-old winger was later reinstated to the Dutch squad for the Cardiff game.
"Of course I will give him advice," Bayern Munich star Robben said about Depay at the prematch news conference.

Dutch winger Memphis Depay has missed the Man United team bus and had to drive himself to meet up with the rest of the squad at The Lowry Hotel.
The Red Devils are meeting at the hotel ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford this evening.
While the United squad arrived on time together, the 21-year-old arrived at the team hotel in his black Mercedes later then boss Louis Van Gaal would have expected.
This latest move is unlikely to endear the 21-year-old, who has also been dropped from the Dutch national squad, to his club boss.

Valdes was a reported target of Valencia over the summer, and Carvajal confirmed the Liga side did enquire about his services.

However, he also claimed that it would be difficult for his client to return to Spain having spent the first 14 years of his career with Barcelona.
