Marouane Fellaini should consider leaving Manchester United in January, says Belgium coach Marc Wilmots. The forward has only made three starts in all competitions this season after serving a three-game suspension to start the campaign, though he has come on as a substitute nine times.Wilmots did not select Fellaini to the Belgium squad that beat Italy last week, and the coach said the 27-year-old needs to see the Old Trafford pitch more before Euro 2016."A player who does not play for his club is annoying for a coach," Wilmots told Le Soir.
"Fellaini could play to support the attack, as the No.6. He has very good technique, very good ability to track back and recover.
"Maybe he will try to find a new challenge in January, if it is possible."

Marc Wilmots: mignolet would still be between the sticks if courtios was available

"It was not easy for him to give up his place as number 1.

There will be no repeat of those arguments this month, though, after Belgium confirmed he had left the squad and been replaced by Anderlecht midfielder Steven Defour.

"I don't want to overexert him, also out of respect for Manchester City,'' Wilmots said. "We have enough other options."
